As a comfortably hetero male, I can say this without reservation… I don’t know how any female (or gay male) on the planet would not find 1980 era Paul Weller to be the best dressed/most attractive man in the history of attractive men.

Congrats to Damian and the gang (FUCKED UP) on their Polaris win. Well deserved, without question. Great guys (and gal), unreal band, mind-blowing record.

Memory Cassette - Last One Asleep At A Party

My boss runs a record label that produces some of the most intoxicating, dreamy stuff I’ve ever heard. This release/video (directed by Sebastian Rozenberg) from one of New Jersey’s finest is just one such example. Incredible works, without question.

I remember first seeing Moneen almost 10 years ago and was immediately blown away by their absolutely intense live show. A post hardcore/punk band that actually kept elements of the fury that spawned such a sound. The new release seems to be no different. Solid melodies and gutsy hooks in a time when substanceless mock rock bands have taken over that scene. Nice to see some people still have their hearts where they belong.

Ps. It’s also nice to see that Hippy Chris still refuses to cut his Doughboys driven locks.
